He explained the budget would be a <br />maintenance budget, which does not change or increase <br />services, but rather maintains them, and that the City <br />has not found a way to keep the cost the same, and it <br />ha;: increased each year. He stated the proposed budget <br />reiresents a 6.2% increase over 1987. <br />Finance Director Brager explained the Council has <br />budgeted $135,000 this year to pursue the City's law- <br />suit against Williams Pipeline. He also reviewed <br />the 198a budgeted revenues, and stated there would be <br />no increase in sewer or water rates, which have remained <br />the same for three years now.
