MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
• FROM: CLERK—ADMINISTRAT
DATE: SEPTEMBER 24, 1987
SUBJECT: PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE ADDITION
Pursuant to your directions, Staff has obtained a proposal from
Cottonwood Construction, the contractor for the addition to the
Public Works garage, for the installation of vinyl asbestos tile
in the breakroom and two office areas. Attached please find a
copy of their proposal in the amount of $2,235.00 and a
transmittal rote from the consulting architect indicating that he
feels this is a high quote and recommending that the City have
Staff or contract separately for this work after the project has
been completed.
Due to the fact thaL the previoucly bid quarry tile and carpeting
for these areas would have amounted to $3,515.00 the consultants
recommendation appears to be reasonable and Staff would recommend
that any action on this item be delayed until the project .is
cc,mrleted and separate bids be obtained by local flooring firms
for the installation of this material.
Your direction in this matter would be appreciated.
DFP/mjs
Attachment:
,
