Approval of
Minutes:
January 12,
Bill Frits, 8072 Long Lake Road, stated that about 5
one week ago a portion of the Williams Pipeline on
Long Lake Road north of Sherwood was dug up and replaced,
and he was told by one of the workers -that-they would not
bec hydrostatic testing the new piece of pipe, and he feels
that without hydrostatic testing, there is no way to
guarantee what pressure the line will take or at what
point it would fail. He added that in his past
experience, he has seen x-rayed lines fail under
hydrostatic testinc.
Clerk/Administrator Pauley replied it was his under-
standing that they would be retesting the line this
summer, but he could not guarantee it would be done
before the line was reopened.
Mayor Linke asked Clerk/Administrator Pauley to send
a letter to the Office of Pipeline Safety, requesting
that hydrostatic testing be done before the line is
reopened.
1987
Motion Carried
Residents
Requests and
Comments from
the Floor
Clerk/Administrator Pauley reviewed the items on 6.
