Wuori stated she had been at the school <br />during the recent tornado drill and three areas close <br />to the proposed addition could be made much safer, with <br />the removal of the windows in the boys and girls <br />lavatories and the teachers lounge. <br />Mr. Erickson replied they could be easily removed and <br />closed up during the construction. <br />Mr. Ostlund stated they would look into the issue and <br />address the problem. <br />Mayor Linke closed the public hearing at 7:15 PM and <br />reopened the regular meeting. <br />r% <br />Motion/Second: Wuori/Quick to approve Resolution No. 7. Consideration <br />2180, with an amendment requiring the walling up of of Resolution <br />the windows with concrete block in the girls and boys No. 2180 <br />lavatories and the teachers lounge, and approve the <br />conditional use permit for Pinewood School, Mounds <br />View Planning Case No. 202-87, and waive the reading. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion Carried <br />k <br />Mayor Linke closed the regular meeting and opened <br />6B. Public Hearing: <br />the second public hearing at 7:16 PM. <br />Rezoning <br />Request for <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reviewed the request of <br />2935 Highway <br />John Cook to rezone the property at 2935 Highway 10 <br />10 <br />from R-1 to R-3. Fie stated the Planning Commission <br />has reviewed the request and determined it is in <br />conformance with City code, and recommends approval. <br />It was noted there was no one present to represent <br />Mr. Cook. <br />Bernetta Chestic, 8161 Spring Lake Road, asked if the <br />lot has room for what Mr. Cook is asking for. <br />Mayor Linke replied the existing structure is not <br />under consideration, and they are only addressing the <br />rezoning of the property at this time. tie added that <br />once it is rezoned, whatever is done on the property <br />will have to meet code. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley explained Mr. Cook could <br />add on, for up to six units, with R-3 zoning. Ile <br />added plans have not been submitted and the City <br />cannot request them at this time. <br />�' <br />
