AGREEMENT FOR INSTALLATION AND MAIN'rENANCE <br />OF 'TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNALS <br />AGREEMENT NO. 87011 <br />THIS AGREEMENT, by and between the City of Mounds View, <br />Minnesota, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to <br />as the "City," and Ramsey County, a political subdivision of <br />the State of Minnesota, hereinafter referred to as the <br />"County"; <br />WITNF.SSETH: <br />WHEREAS, it is considered mutuall desirable to remove <br />the existing and install temporary traffic control signals <br />with street lights on County Road I (County State Aid <br />Highway No. 3) at Quincy Street (Municipal State Aid Street <br />No. 229); and <br />WHEREAS, the County and City will participate in the <br />cost, maintenance and operation of said traffic control <br />signal with street light as hereinafter set forth; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The County shall prepare the necessary plans, speci- <br />fications and proposals and shall perform the engineering <br />and inspection required to complete the items of work here- <br />inafter set forth. Such work as described immediately above <br />shall constitute "Engineering and Inspection" and shall be <br />so referred to hereinafter. <br />2. The contract cost of the work or., if the work is not <br />contracted, the cost of all labor, materials and equipment <br />rental required to complete the work, except the cost of <br />providing the power supply to the service pole or pad shall <br />constitute the actual "Construction Cost" and shall be so <br />referred to hereinafter. <br />3. The County shall install or cause the installation <br />of a new temporary traffic control signal with street lights <br />in accordance with County Project No. TRk 517 at the inter- <br />section of County Road I and Quincy Street. Estimated <br />construction cost is $32,000 which includes $10,80U.UU of <br />County -furnished materials. City's share - fifty percent <br />(50%). County's share - fifty percent (50%). <br />4. The City shall install or cause the installation of <br />an adequate electrical power supply to the service pole <br />including any necessary extensions of power lines. Upon <br />completion of the temporary traffic control signal system <br />installation, necessary electrical power for their operation <br />shall be at the sole expense of the City. In accordance <br />with the Policy for Lighting County Roadways, County Board <br />Resolution 67-1394, the City shall maintain and pay energy <br />costs of the integral street lighting. <br />87011 <br />1 of 3 <br />
