• MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: MARY SAARION, DIRECTOR <br />PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY <br />DATE: JUNE 3, 1987 <br />RE: INFORMATION AS REQUESTED <br />Wildwood Manor Home has 44 senior citizen residents.- Wildwood Manor <br />Home is approximately 1/2 mile or 2-1/2 blocks from Random Park. <br />Random Park is midway between Wildwood Manor Home and Edgewood <br />Community Center. <br />Scotland Green Apartments have at least 35 apartments rented Lo <br />senior citizens. Scotland Green Apartments is approximately 1/5 <br />mile or 1-1/2 blocks from Random Park. Random Park is midway <br />between Scotland Green Apartments and Edgewood Community <br />Center. <br />School District 1621 offered a projection for 1987-88 of more than <br />99 pre-schoolers in the Sunnyside School area, the same area serving <br />Random Park. This projection was based on pre-school testing as of <br />April 15. Since all pre-schoolers are not tested, the number is <br />probably greater than 99. <br />There are 36 senior citizens which are members of either the Sunrise <br />Seniors Club or the Messiah Seniors Club that reside on the south <br />side of Highway 10 and east of Silver Lake Road. <br />There are 19 senior citizens which are members of either the Sunrise <br />Senior Club or Messiah Senior Club that reside on the south side of <br />Highway 10 and west of Silver Lake Road. <br />Here is an example of some community groups that may wish to use the <br />building for meetings: <br />Community Theater Board <br />Mounds View Athletic Association Board <br />Boy Scout Board <br />MS/sl <br />
