Review contractor license applications for recommendation 7 <br />to the City Council. <br />Keep the Public Works Director/City Engineer closely informed 8 <br />of any inspection related activities which require immediate <br />attention or action. <br />Investigate citizen complaints related to the building, 9 <br />housing and fire code activities of the City with the <br />goal of resolving issues in the best interest of all <br />concerned. , <br />Consult with the City Attorney as required to review and 10 <br />assure proper legal requirements are being met in all <br />building, housing and fire code activities, or to <br />initiate legal action to ensure code conformance. <br />Continually review existing codes and ordinances for 11 <br />consistency and ease of enforcement and interpretation <br />and recommend modifications wherever necessary. <br />Attend meetings as assigned or as requested when matters 12 <br />relate to responsibilities assigned. <br />Assume other responsibilities as apparent or as delegated. 13 <br />Other Performance Measuresments <br />--- Provided services are completed in a manner which results in C <br />confidence and respect of the citizenry and contractors. <br />--- A positive public relations climate is created as a result <br />of good working relationships. <br />--- Code interpretations are made on a fair and equitable basis <br />in the interest of all concerned. <br />--- Opportunities are recognized to promote a favorable image of <br />the City and Department through services provided. <br />--- Legal action is considered only when circumstances dictate <br />that it is the last resort to otherwise satisfactory <br />resolution of a cost being considered. <br />Responsibility for Work of others <br />Seasonal Housing Inspector <br />
