'Mounds View City Council U-tqjk <br />h July 27, 1987 <br />,e r g <br />Regular Meeting� k ire, Pa e Seven <br />-------------------------------- --- ---�� -Q------------- <br />Councilmember Hankner explained that approximately half <br />r� of the property taxes go to the School District, and <br />she noted that less than 5 percent of the eligible <br />voters go to the School Board elections. <br />Police Chief Hamacher presented the crime statistics <br />for the first half of 1987 versus the same period in <br />1986, and noted they were down overall. <br />Chief Ramacher reported Super America had donated <br />$250 toward the purchase of a bullet proof vest for <br />the Police Department. He explained all officers now <br />have'one and are required to wear it while on duty. <br />He also reported the new, unmarked car is working out <br />well. <br />Park Director Saarion presented the Council with the <br />second quarter department report for the Parks, <br />Recreation and Forestry department and reviewed the <br />activities they had undertaken. <br />Attorney Meyers had no report. 16. Report of <br />Attorney <br />Councilmember Hankner stated she was concerned with 17. Reports of <br />the props the City owns which are being stored at Councilmembers: <br />Irondale High School, and asked that a letter be Councilmember <br />sent to the School District indicating that the City Hankner <br />is interested in storing the'props in their own <br />facilities. <br />Park Director Saarion stated she would check with <br />the Community Theater director, who would know <br />which props the City had. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley stated he would send a <br />letter to the School District. <br />Councilmember Blanchard reported she had attended Councilmember <br />the Fire Department board meeting. Blanchard <br />Councilmember Wuori had no report. Councilmember <br />Wuori <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. Councilmember <br />Quick <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauely reviewed the bids received 18. ReporClerk/ <br />of <br />for the reconstruction of County Road I. <br />Administrator <br />
