December 14, 1987 <br />Mounds View City Council h Page Eleven <br />Regular Meeting �„ -- z;,_i -------------------- <br />------------------------Li <br />lmember Blanchard - aye - <br />Counci <br />Councilmember Wuori - aye <br />Councilmember Quick - aye <br />Mayor Links - aye <br />Councilmember Quick stated he feels the ordinance <br />provides control over not having fast food types of <br />operations in the shopping center. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported that some items <br />on the Public Works garage addition that were originally <br />planned to be done by Staff were now going to be done by <br />the contractor, due to time constraints of Staff and <br />the limited ability rovalStaff <br />oftchangethe <br />orderswork, <br />amounting to <br />requested Council approval <br />$3,245 for the installation of the <br />door going into the <br />locker room, and the filling anks <br />i4o'-ion/S,econd: Quick/Blanchard to approve the change <br />orders to the Public Works <br />thegarage <br />recommendationoofrthe in <br />the amount of $3,245, p <br />architect dated November 25, 1987. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Attorney Meyers reported the acquisition of certain <br />right-of-ways relative to the Mounds View <br />Business <br />Park, and they would be doing a quirk <br />Robert Waste property, which would <br />necessitate <br />athe <br />deposit with the court of the approved <br />right-of-way. He asked the Council to authorize <br />the Mayor and Treasurer to make a check payable to <br />the Clerk of District Court, in Hheadded amount <br />that after <br />of <br />$76,900, for the right-of-way. <br />the deposit is made, andthe <br />becoe riatthe eiprocedures <br />followed, the property i m <br />Clerk/Admi:,�strator Pauley reviewed the case of the <br />acquisition of property from Russ Underdahl, which <br />is being handled by Attorney Mark Xarney. He stated <br />Mr. Underdahl is debating the appraised value of the <br />property, which is $20,000. The funds for the <br />t <br />acquisition. would come from he special projects <br />fund, and would be returned, with lost interest, <br />after the tax increment financing has been completed. <br />He explained both the City and developer had tried <br />extensively <br />tolate comeatoranPwith both owners <br />agreement. <br />Attornev Meyers reviewed how the interest would be <br />disbersed on the funds deposited with the Court <br />and he clarified that the interest would go to the <br />owners of the property. <br />Motion Carried <br />15.
