RESOLUTION NO. 2289 <br />r'1 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINN13SOTA <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING UPDATED SALARY ADMINISTRATION AND <br />PERFORMANCE REVIEW PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, since 1980 the City of Mounds View has had in <br />place a Salary Administration and Performance Review Program <br />providing guidelines for the review of employee performance and <br />establishment of levels of compensation based upon employee <br />performance; and <br />WHEREAS, in 1984 the Minnesota Legislature adopted what is <br />known as the Comparable Act of 1984 requiring that equitable <br />salaries be paid to all employees of governmental jurisdictions <br />within the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, as a result of the Comparable Worth Act. of 1984 the <br />City of Mounds View participated in an extensive study of its <br />salary structure along with over 300 other governmental jurisdic- <br />tions in the State of Minnesota as part of the Metropolitan Area <br />Management Association Joint Compensation Study; and <br />WHEREAS, in light of the requirements of the Comparable Worth <br />Act of 1984 and the results of the Joint Compensation Study, an <br />update of the City's Salary Administration and Performance Review <br />Program was required; and <br />WHEREAS, said update has been prepared by City staff and <br />presented to the City Council for their consideration and found <br />to be acceptable. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salary Administration <br />and Performance Review Program dated January, 1988 is formally <br />adopted by the Mounds View City Council as the policy of the City <br />relating to review of employee on-the-job performance and <br />establishment of compensation for all non -Unionized employ -es of <br />the City of Mounds View. <br />Adopted this 8th day of February, 1988. <br />ATTEST: <br />(SEAL) <br />Mayor <br />Clerk -Administrator <br />
