Mounds View Planning Commission December 4, 2024 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br />________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />B. Reports of Council <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause provided the Planning Commission with an update from the City <br />Council. He thanked Commissioner Curtis for his service to the City on the Planning <br />Commission. He reported the Council was discussing a municipal cannabis operation noting if <br />this were to move forward, it would be a partnership with a private organization. He reviewed <br />the items the City Council had approved that were considered by the Planning Commission. He <br />commented on the housing revenue bonds the City will be issuing for the city of St. Paul noting <br />Mounds View will receive a 1% administrative fee for this bond issuance. He discussed the new <br />stipulation that would require trash haulers to provide the City with standard pricing information <br />each year. He indicated the City Council held its Truth in Taxation meeting on Monday, <br />December 2. He commented further on streets in the community that need improvements. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman provided further information on the County’s plans for <br />Mounds View Boulevard and discussed when this corridor would be improved. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause explained a new rapid flashing beacon pedestrian crossing would <br />be installed by the County at Edgewood and County Road H. <br /> <br />C. Reports of Planning Commissioners <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br /> <br />9. Next Planning Commission Meeting: <br /> <br />A. Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. <br />B. Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />10.
