RESOLUTION NO 10097 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING A RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR THE POLICE INTERN POSITION <br />AND APPROVE THE REVISED JOB DESCRIPTION <br />WHEREAS, Staff is requesting the City Council authorize approval of the Police <br />Intern Position, allowing Interns to work at the City for up to 16 weeks; and <br />WHEREAS, Interns would be compensated at a rate of $18.54 per hour, working <br />a flexible schedule between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the possibility of <br />some evening and weekend hours, and amenable to the student's college course <br />schedule; and <br />WHEREAS, the attached Police Intern revised job description will be posted for <br />candidates to apply for the position, and staff will fill the positions for the year 2025 as <br />funding is available. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />approves the revised Police Intern job description and authorizes Staff to complete the <br />following: <br />• Continue the Police Intern program for 2025 <br />• Post the position and hire qualified Police Interns as funding is available <br />• Allow Interns to work 16 consecutive weeks <br />• Pay Interns $18.54/hour during their Internship <br />Adopted this 5t" day of May, 2025. <br />Zach Lindstrom, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br />
