Equipment to be used for curbside service, such as trucks, intermediate processing vehicles and equipment, household containers, etc. Super Cycle has developed its own collection and prlxzssirg system. A truck and :railer combination is used locollect materials. Materials are offloeded from the truck inle processing equipment at the Ramsey County Recycling Center at 775 Rice St. in St. Pcul. At the processing center a forklift, with a specially designed tipping mechanism , is used to transfer materials from the collection vehicle to preprocessing equipment. Oless and metal processing equipment is used to further sW-rate, desify and prepare materials for end markets. Newspaper is hauled in bulk to end markets. e. Materials preparation instructions that will be given to residents. Recyclable materials will be prepared by the residents as follows in accordance with the Maximum Materials Preparation Renulremenls *Paper: Newsprint shall be placed in a paper beg, box or other reusable container. *Oless containers Rinse and piece in paper bag, box, or reuseable container. Glass does not need to be Separated by co.or. *Metal ( Tin cans and aluminum and steal beverage cans): Rinse and place comingled in paper bap, box, or reusable container. Labels do not need to be removed: nor do the cans need to be flattened. Containers in which recyclable materials have been stored shall be plate upon the boulevard ' area of the street for collection by 7:00 am. on the scheduled day of collection. 4. Description of procedures to be followed for handling missed pickups or customer complaints. The phone is regularly answered from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday missed pickup during these hours. b. A procedure for pickup that evening or the following morning. Missed pickups are normally collected by 3:00 pm of the following day. Missed pickups called in by 3-00 pm on the pickup day will normally be c0lectol on the pickup day. c. Availability of vehicles to handle missed pickups. One of the route drivers serving a nearby kuliection usually makes missed pickups. The route supervisor will serve as backup to handle missed pickups and complaints. All trucks, except for backup units, have radios served by a dispatcher at base. 5. Description of how collection tonnages will be verified and how records will be kept for reimbursements. a. original truck scale tickets from 775 Rice Street.
