Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting _ March 14 ---------------- , 1998 <br />---- ---- Page Twelve <br />---------------------- <br />Park and Ree Director Saarion and Commissioner McCarty <br />filled the Council in on what they know about the issue. <br />Councilmember Quick stated the City is faced with <br />Possibly losing a good deal of space at Edgewood, so <br />it would be beneficial for Staff to look into it. <br />Councilmember Blanchard had no report. <br />Councilmember -' <br />Councilmember Hankner reported she had recently Blanchard _ <br />received a call from a resident who was interested in <br />establishing an environmental quality review task force, Councilmember Hankner <br />and she stated that if there is a grouwho are willing to devote their time, thefCityldenshoresuld <br />utilize them. She added they could be a great <br />benefit to the City. <br />Councilmember Wuori had no report. <br />Cour..,ilmemb, . <br />Mayor Links updated the Wuori <br />fund raising for the Pinewood Plan the progress in the <br />that they have raised $30,000 opr Playground, reporting Mayor Linke <br />far. their $50,000 goal so <br />Mayor for the lopening ton the ed he hCivilcServicenCommissioniun <br />which had been advertised in the New Brighton Bulletin. ' <br />Motion/Second: Linke/Blanchard to appoint Gordon <br />Fedor Co the Police Civil Service Commission, to fill <br />the vacancy through December 31, 1990. <br />There was no vote on the motion, as a tabling motion <br />occurred later during discussion. <br />Councilmember Quick stated he feels a position of <br />this importance should be listed as an item on the <br />agenda, and he stated he has harl <br />iLtoicat r�,.. <br />in the position.
