MEMO TO: Clerk -Administrator and City Council <br />FROM: City Planner Herman <br />DATE: April 21, 1988 <br />SUBJECT: CHURCH UPON THE ROCK CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br />A TEMPORARY ACCESSORY STRUCTURE AT 7901 RED OAK DRIVE <br />The Church Upon the Rock has applied for a conditional use permit <br />for a temporary classroom structure to be placed in the back of <br />their building to be used as additional classroom area. The <br />temporary structure is to allow increase in the student <br />Population of the campus. The Church school has had increasing <br />enrollment and is looking at alternatives to accomodating the <br />students. This option is a temporary alternative so that the <br />Church can begin planning a more permanent solution. <br />The Planning Commission has reviewed the request and has <br />recommended approval in Resolution No. 219-88. Within this <br />resolution, the temporary building is addressed as an accessory <br />structure and, therefore, requires a 6 foot setback from the <br />school building. The temporary classroom will be connected to <br />the principle structure by a passage way so that the children can <br />walk under a covered area to the bathroom facilities and the rest <br />of the principle structure. <br />The classroom str, 1.1, as found in the re:,cl•:i <br />for a five-year per:_;. of time. Because of the temporary nature <br />of the classroom structure, the Planning Commission did not feel <br />that upgrading was necessary at- this time to fulfill the Code <br />rc:,_irements.
