MINUTES <br />NORTH SUBURBAN CABLE COMMISSION <br />MARCH 3, 1988 <br />PAGE 3 <br />following voted in favor thereof: Bauer, Eggert, Villella, Brandt, <br />Fritze, Murphy and Weyandt, and the following voted against the same: <br />Tarnowski. Motion carried. <br />Tarnowski left at 8:00 P.M. <br />The North Suburban Cable Commission met in Executive Session at <br />8:00 P.M. I <br />The North Suburban Cable Commission reconvened fror Executive Session <br />at 8:33 P.M. <br />Chairman Eggert and Attorney Creighton reviewed in detail the sequence <br />of events that occured on the I -Net construction during the time from <br />the last Cormission meeting until the evening of this Commission meeting. <br />They also reviewed in detail the need for the Executive Session. <br />James Erickson, Cable TV North Central, voiced his objection to the <br />North Suburban Cable Commission meeting in Executive Session as it was <br />a violation of the Open Meeting Law, in his opinion. <br />l <br />Erickson then reviewed what actions Cable TV North Central took as directed <br />by the North Suburban Cable Commission at their February 4, 1988 meeting <br />in mutton 2.4-2. <br />Admi.nist:ator Anderson advised that the institutional network was not <br />functioning as the connection had not been made between the two head -ends. <br />Rocky Schlichter, Cable System Services, Inc. reviewed his letter of <br />February 27, 1988 (a copy of which is on file in the office of the <br />Administrator) advising of his evaluation and inspection of the I -.Net <br />system. The I -Net syste!c as presently provided to the users does <br />not permit minimum adequate path routing between the North and South <br />headerds for ten channel full two way communications between users. <br />To meet the school system needs, he reviewed the type of equipment that <br />wood be ..eecessary. <br />Erickson informed that the cable company had �-.n meeting with ',e <br />school districts to try and identify their needs, determine what works, <br />and implement it. He advised he had not been given the benefit of <br />Schlichter's report and requested such copy be supplied. <br />Jane Bremer, Cable TV North Central, informed that the cable company was <br />not clear what action the Commission wanted them to take as a result <br />of motion 2.4-2 but have since obtained a clear picture and have purchased <br />the necessary equipment to implement complete activation. The equipment <br />is 95 percent in place and the rest should be completed by the beginning <br />of next week. She invited the schools and the engineer to make whatever <br />teats necessary to determine the systey is vorking. <br />John Eddy, Cable TV North Central, agreed chat the syatem should be tested <br />and arrangements could be made the beginning of next week (week of March 7). <br />
