C. Collection <br />+' Cl. The Contractor shall collect all recyclable materials on <br />the following day: The entire City on the 3rd Tuesday <br />of each month. <br />C2. Complaints on service will be taken and collected by the <br />City and the Contractor. The City will notify the <br />Contractor of all complaints it receives. The <br />Contractor is responsible for all corrective actions. <br />All complaints shall be answered by the Contractor <br />courteously and promptly. <br />C3. Whenever the City or a resident notifies the Contractor <br />of locations which have not received scheduled service, <br />the Contractor is required to service such locations by <br />7:00 p.m. the following day. Penalty for not servicing <br />shall be $2.00 per household. <br />C4. Recyclable materials shall be prepared as follows: <br />Newsprint and non -glossy paper: placed in paper bags or <br />cardboard boxes, tied in bundles, or other reuseable <br />containers. <br />Glasst lids removed, rinsed, and placed in paper bags <br />or cardboard boxes or other reuseable containers. <br />Metals: rinsed and placed in paper bags or cardboard <br />boxes or other reuseable containers. <br />Cardboard: flattened and placed in paper bags or tied <br />in bundles no larger than three feet in length, width or <br />depth. <br />C5. Containers in which recyclable materials have been <br />stored shall be placed on the curbside in front of the <br />residents' property by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled day of <br />collection. <br />C6. All recyclable materials placed for collection shall 6e <br />owned by and be the responsibility of the occupants of <br />residential properties until they are handled by the <br />Contractor. Upon collection of the containers and <br />recyclable materials by the Contractor, the recyclable <br />materials become the property and responsibility of the <br />Contractor. <br />C7. Recyclable materials deemed unacceptable by the <br />Contractor according to the preparaton procedures in <br />subsection C4 shall be collected on the first occurrence <br />by the Contractor. Each time materials are incorrectly <br />prepared the Contractor shall leave at the residence <br />written notice forms, which are provided by the City, <br />which explain why materials were not collected. The <br />address and the reason why materials were not collected <br />shall be reported to the City the following day so that <br />-3- <br />
