I an requesting that the <br />City of Mounds View be the sponsoring unit of govemnent for three <br />grant applications we are making. Thi.s process does rot view a school <br />district as a local unit of government. We are making the applications <br />to the Minnesota Juvenile Justice i.9visory Committee. Ilia funding <br />source is federal monies through the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency <br />Prevention Act. <br />In the pt.:.:., the City of MOUrdS View, for three consecutive years, <br />sponsored similar grants for us such as the Cctmmnity Resource worker <br />Program. we are not asking for any money from the City of Mounds View. <br />Munds View Schools does all the record keeping, accounting, etc. We <br />are only asking for a resolution of sponsorship. <br />The three grants we are currently applying for are: <br />Adolescent Institute, Training Grant $ 1,000.00 <br />(Course for professionals Working with high risk youth) <br />Violence -free Curriculum, Prevention Grant $ 2,000.00 <br />(Course for high school seniors to prevent violence) <br />013C M Project $28,000.00 <br />(Outreach prevention to high risk youth and their <br />families) <br />A copy of each of the grant applications is attachea.
