MEMO TO: Clerk -Administrator and City Council <br />- FROM: Ric Iiinetor, Director of Public Works <br />DATE: May 19, 1988 <br />SUBJECT: COMPUTER HARDWARE FOR PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT <br />At the May 9, 1988, Council Agenda Sess.on there was a concensus <br />to proceed with the Pavement Management Program as presented. <br />This necessitates certain purchases of equipment, and software. <br />I have reviewed various brands of computers and received pricing <br />data. The most reasonable price was from Zeos International. <br />Their published price of $3,749 was the lowest price for a CPU, <br />monitor, disk drives and accessory equipment. Other equipment <br />(computer furniture and printer) are currently under review. <br />Below are prices derived from published price lists: <br />Zeos International $3,749.00 <br />PC Tronics $3,943.00 <br />Computer Buying Service $3,947.00 <br />Northgate Computer Systems $4,472.50 <br />State Bid - AmeriData, Inc. $6,019.50 <br />PECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that Council authorize purchase <br />of the m computer system from Zeos International at their <br />currently published price of $3,749 to be charged to account <br />$100-4270-703000. <br />
