Mounds View City Council May 23, 1988 <br />Regular Meeting I I Kl A ow n`/ 1/!C n Page Thirteen <br />ACounty Commissioner McCarty updated the Council. on <br />,the status of the library and the meeting he had just <br />attended. He reported problems have been encountered <br />regarding City participation In Land'acquisition, which <br />need to be cleared up, specifically with the City of <br />Shoreview. <br />Motion/Second: Linke/Blanchard to request the Library <br />Board of Trustees move ahead on the items already <br />approved, to avoid an increase in cost due to a time <br />delay. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried` <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley thanked and commended tha 25. Report of <br />Public Works department for the assistance they gave Clerk/ <br />to the Pinewood Playground, and specifically Steve Administrator <br />Dazenhki and Mike Ulrich, who worked as volunteers on <br />Saturday. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reviewed the memo of May <br />23 from the Bnilding inspector regarding the final <br />inspection of 5201 Program Avenue. He added that <br />in addition to the five items listed which must be <br />completed for the certificate of occupancy, he would <br />add that landscaping be completed for the building. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Hankner to apprcve the issuance <br />o a certi icate of occupancy for 5201 Program Avenue, <br />Clinch -On -Corners, with the six conditions listed. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported they had had the <br />first meeting with Ramsey County regarding the sanitary <br />sewer repair to be done on Silver Lake Road and <br />negotiations are progressing positively. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley advised that with the purchase <br />of the former Smith Transfer property by Churchill <br />Trucking and installation of new tanks, they have dis- <br />covered leakage had occurred, but it would have been <br />prior to 1984, since the tanks have been empty since that <br />time. He explained the concern is with the fuel oil <br />tank, as that has been in use and is showing signs of <br />leakage. He added it was going to be moved today, and <br />he would keep the Council appraised of the situation. <br />Mw <br />
