Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />------------------------------------------------- <br />Councilmember Hankner questioned if there was a reason <br />why the wetland ordinance issues were not included in <br />the resolution adopted by the Planning Commission, <br />denying the request. <br />City Planner Herman explained it was their intention <br />to only consider the variances, since that is what they <br />are charged with, and since they were not granting the <br />variances, there was no need fcr them to address the <br />other issues. <br />Mayor Linke closed the public hearing and reopened the <br />regular meeting at 7:59 PM. <br />May 9, 1988 <br />Page Four <br />Park and Rec Director Saarion explained there have 10. <br />been problems with cars parking along Ardan Avenue, <br />which is the front door to Groveland Park, and they <br />are requesting the two hour parking limitation signs <br />to prevent people from parking there all day or nigh:., <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Wuori to authorize the placement <br />of "Two Hour Parking Only" signs on the north side of <br />Ardan Avenue between Fairchild and Groveland Road. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Park and Rec Director Saarion explained the damage <br />that was done to the theater stage floor at Irondale <br />High School during the 1987 production of "Marne" `oy <br />the Mounds View Community Theater. She stated the <br />floor is 18 years old and needs replacement, and it <br />has been agreed between the School District and City <br />to place $950, which would be the cost of repairing <br />the damage, in a joint savings account for the future <br />repair or replacement of the floor. She added work <br />will have to be done to raise the additional funds <br />needed.
