SEXUAL HARASSMENT POLICv <br />PAGE TWO <br />The definition of sexual harassment includes <br />conduct directed by men toward women, by men <br />toward men, by women toward men, and conduct <br />directed by women toward women. <br />II. Any employee who feels he or she is being <br />subjected to sexual harassment should immediately <br />contact one of the persons below with whom the <br />employee feels the most comfortable. Complaints <br />may be made orally of in writing to; <br />1. The employee's immediate supervisor. <br />2. The employee's department head. <br />3. The Clerk -Administrator. <br />4. The City Attorney. <br />Employees have the right to circumvent the <br />employee chain of command in selecting which <br />person to whom to make the complaint of sexual <br />harassment. <br />Regardless of to which of the above persons the <br />employee makes a complaint of sexual harassment, <br />the employee should be prepared to provide the <br />following information; <br />1. The employee's name, department and position <br />title. <br />2. The name of the person or persons committing <br />the sexual harassment, including their <br />title(s), if known. <br />3. The specific naLare of this sexual <br />harassment, how long it has gone on, and any <br />employment action (promotion, failure to <br />promote, dismissal, refusal to hire, <br />transfer, etc.) taken against the employee as <br />a result of the harassment, or any other <br />threats made against the employee as a result <br />of the harassment. <br />4. Witnesses to the harassment. <br />5. Whether thv employee has previously reported des' <br />such harassment, and if so, when and to whom. <br />
