MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: CLERK-ADMINISTRATC2 <br />DATE: JUNE 10, 1988 <br />SUBJECT: 1988 ELECTED OFFICIALS SALARY SURVEY <br />Because you are discussing your budget goals for the 1989 <br />budget during the June 20th Agenda Session I felt it would <br />be appropriate for me to have you pay special attention to <br />this survey report. <br />The survey is conducted by the Association of Metropolitan <br />Municipalities for all of their member cities each year. On <br />pages 8 and 9 the salaries paid to Councilmembers and Mayors <br />for cities between 10,000 and 20,000 in population is <br />listed. You will note that the City of Mounds View, along <br />with the City of Hastings, has the lowest compensated Mayor <br />and is the third lowest, ahead of Hastings, North St. Paul <br />and Woodbury. Should you decide that you wish to budget a <br />salary increase for the Mayor and/or Council positions for <br />1989 it would be helpful if you could indicate your desire <br />on June 20th so that it could be included in the first draft <br />budget. <br />DFP/MJS <br />LI! <br />
