(WETLAND NO. 1-17) <br />The replacement of the settled section of sanitary sewer in <br />Silver Lake Road also requires replacement of a section of <br />settled sewer across Wetland No. 1-17 from Longview Drive to <br />Silver Lake Road. This work will require issuance of a wetland <br />alteration permit as specified in Chapter 48.06, Subd. 1, <br />Paragraph G, of the Municipal Code. <br />The work is necessary as the sewer <br />flows <br />from <br />Longview <br />Drive <br />The <br />to <br />Silver Lake Road and there is no practical <br />replacement is necessitated by the settlement of this sewer main <br />as well as the Silver Lake Road ce::er main. Further settlement <br />could result in sewer breaks or blockages rendering the sewer <br />unusable. <br />The work needs to be completed in the near future; prior to <br />Ramsey County's proposed overlay of Silver Lake Road, Ramsey <br />County has indicated tl.it our work necis to be completed prior tn <br />August 15, 1908. Our work will consist of excavati..nI <br />zeplacenent, and backfill of this sewer main. Backfill materials <br />will consist of the excavated soils. Fie believe there will be no <br />detrimental effects and vegetation will reestablish itself from <br />seeds and roots in the excavated and adjacent soils. <br />Staff recommends issuance of the wetland alteration permit for <br />sanitary sewer replacement across Wetland No. 1-17. <br />RAN/BAC <br />
