PUBLIC HEARING: Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 1038, <br /> 5 Rezoning the Property at 2840 Mounds View Boulevard from B-2 Limited <br /> 6 Business to B-3 Highway Business ROLL CALL VOTE. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the Council rezone the Property at 2840 Mounds <br /> 9 View Boulevard from B-2 Limited Business to B-3 Highway Business. <br /> 10 <br /> 1 1 Mayor Lindstrom opened the public hearing at 6:15 p.m. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Sharon Kirscher, 8406 Red Oak Drive, requested further information regarding the B-3 Highway <br /> 14 Business District and how it differs from the B-2 Limited Business District. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Mr. Carlson stated both allow commercial uses,but B-3 allows uses that were more auto oriented. <br /> 17 He indicated B-3 can allow for a drive-thru while the B-2 district does not. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Hearing no further public input, Mayor Lindstrom closed the public hearing at 6:17 p.m. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Second Reading and Adopt Ordinance <br /> 22 1038, Rezoning the Property at 2840 Mounds View Boulevard from B-2 Limited Business to B-3 <br /> 23 Highway Business and direct staff to publish an ordinance summary. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 ROLL CALL: Gunn/Meehlhause/Smith/Lindstrom. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Ayes—4 Nays—0 Motion carried. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 C. PUBLIC HEARING: Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 1039, <br /> 30 Rezoning the Property at 7861 Groveland Road from B-2 Limited Business to <br /> 31 B-3 Highway Business ROLL CALL VOTE. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the Council rezone the Property at 7861 <br /> 34 Groveland Road from B-2 Limited Business to B-3 Highway Business. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Mayor Lindstrom opened the public hearing at 6:19 p.m. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Gloria Pettis, 7950 Fairchild Avenue, asked if the Simon's building would be repurposed. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Mayor Lindstrom explained the current plan would be to demolish the existing building in order <br /> 41 to construct a Dunkin Donuts drive thru in conjunction with the Mounds View municipal cannabis <br /> 42 building. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Tony Preciado, 8217 Long Lake Road, expressed concern with the fact there would be a donut <br /> 45 shop next to a dope shop. <br /> 46 <br />
