RESOLUTION 1184 -25 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE <br />ZONING CODE RELATING TO OFF-STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS <br />MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING CASE SP-239-25 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 160.450 and 160.451 of the Mounds View Zoning Ordinance detail the <br />process and requirements for amending the zoning code; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Zoning Ordinance has requirements for off-street parking that have <br />been recommended for revision; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed Ordinance 1044 amending Section 160.342 <br />Schedule of Off-Street Parking Requirements. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning Commission makes the <br />following findings of fact related to this request: <br /> <br />Findings of Fact <br /> <br />1) It is in the public interest to have parking requirements for commercial land uses that are in line <br />with the experience of businesses and communities in the region, and the advice of the City’s <br />planning and zoning professionals, in order to promote safe and orderly development in the City. <br /> <br />2) The Mounds View Planning Commission has reviewed Ordinance 1044 and agrees that it serves <br />the City’s interests. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning Commission, <br />based upon the above findings of fact, does hereby recommend that the City Council adopt Ordinance <br />1044 amending the Mounds View Zoning Code relating to required off-street parking. <br /> <br />Adopted this 21st day of May, 2025. <br /> <br /> ___________________________________________ <br />Dennis Farmer, Planning Commission Chair <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> ___________________________________________ <br />Brian Beeman, Assistant City Administrator <br />(SEAL)
