Mounds View City Council July 14, 2025 <br /> Regular Meeting Page 10 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 Mayor Lindstrom did not recommend a Council liaison be assigned to this group because he <br /> 3 wanted their recommendations to be autonomous and free from Council influence. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Clark. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10130, <br /> 6 Approving the Implementation of an Advisory(sub) Committee for the Park System Master Plan. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Ayes—5 Nays—0 Motion carried. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 9. REPORTS <br /> 11 A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Council Member Smith stated the Cable Commission would not be meeting in July. She indicated <br /> 14 this group would meet next on October 16. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Council Member Smith reported she attended a Climate Action Work Group meeting where <br /> 17 community solar gardens were discussed. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Council Member Smith commented the Ramsey County League of Local Government toured the <br /> 20 St. Paul Regional Water Services last Friday. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Council Member Smith explained yesterday she attended an Irondale adaptive baseball game. She <br /> 23 encouraged more residents in Mounds View to get involved. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Council Member Smith stated she got to see the splash pad in operation this weekend and she <br /> 26 appreciated how the splash pad was accessible to children in wheelchairs. She encouraged the City <br /> 27 to consider additional adaptive park amenities in the community because this was a huge need. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Council Member Smith reported she would be meeting with Police Chief Zender and daycare <br /> 30 providers in the community to discuss emergency preparedness. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Council Member Clark stated she attended a Mounds View Police Foundation meeting last week, <br /> 33 noting the hot dog cart would be at the movie in the park on August 8. <br /> 34 <br />
