<br /> <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 10114 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING DRIVEWAY WING ALTERATIONS FOR DRIVEWAYS LESS THAN 12 <br />FEET WIDE IN THE 2022/23 STREET PROJECT, AREA J <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution 9561 authorizing T.A. Schifsky & <br />Sons Inc. to perform the 2022-2023 Street Rehabilitation Project areas J & K; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Staff received concerns regarding the driveway openings on Spring <br />Lake Road, North of Mounds View Blvd because 21 of them were less than the 12 foot wide <br />City Code minimum; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council chose on April 15, 2024, Special WS, to alter one (1) side of the <br />driveway to make the wing equal to the amount necessary to achieve a 12-foot-wide opening <br />at the gutter to assist in the ease of making right handed turns into these properties; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Staff has reached out to 3 concrete contractors and the cost information <br />will be provided at this meeting. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. Accepts cost from Schmidt Curb Company, Inc. to alter driveway wings on one (1) side <br />of the opening at the gutter line which would then provide a driveway opening of 12 feet <br />at an estimated cost of $11,987.90. <br /> <br />2. The Director of Public Works is authorized to make approvals related to contract <br />modifications during construction of the Project on behalf of the City Council as per the <br />Purchasing Policy. <br /> <br />3.
