Edgewood Middle School and Pinewood Elementary School <br />SRO Quarter 2 Report <br />April 2025 – June 2025 <br /> <br />Officer Boscardin worked at Edgewood Middle School and Pinewood Elementary during <br />this quarter. Officer Boscardin continued to build the relationship between the schools <br />and MVPD this quarter. Officer Boscardin and school staff continued to work in <br />partnership throughout this quarter to best serve the students and members of the <br />community. <br />Officer Boscardin started his shifts conducting school bus stop arm enforcement. <br />Officer Boscardin focused his school bus stop arm patrols in area’s he knew to have a <br />high volume of school bus stop arm violations to include Silver Lake Road, County <br />Road I, and Long Lake Road. <br />Officer Boscardin would then turn school speed zone signs off. Officer Boscardin would <br />return to Pinewood Elementary to check-in with students and staff, and would then <br />conduct an interior patrol of the building. <br />Officer Boscardin would then head to Edgewood Middle School to check-in with <br />students and staff. After checking in with staff, Officer Boscardin would begin working <br />on investigations and assisting staff with day-to-day support. Officer Boscardin would <br />attend school lunches at Edgewood as time allowed. <br />After lunches were complete, Officer Boscardin would complete an interior patrol. <br />Officer Boscardin then met with students and work on reports/investigations. At the end <br />of Edgewood’s school day, Officer Boscardin would conduct an extra patrol during <br />student dismissal before leaving to conduct further school bus stop arm enforcement. <br />Throughout this quarter, Officer Boscardin issued 12 citations for school bus stop arm <br />violations. <br />After completing school bus stop arm enforcement, Officer Boscardin would return to <br />MVPD to complete reports and check-in with patrol Officers and Investigators. <br />Throughout this quarter, Officer Boscardin attended Pinewood’s Family Library Nights, <br />and end of year concerts for both schools. Officer Boscardin also assisted with <br />community outreach events utilizing MVPD’s new hot dog trailer (police dogz) alongside <br />Chief Zender. Officer Boscardin visited Pinewood Elementary 1st grade students to <br />answer questions they had prepared for him. Officer Boscardin attended the Pinewood <br />Elementary end of year PTA carnival. <br />Throughout this quarter, Officer Boscardin assisted with multiple student elopements <br />and ensured their safe return to school or ensured they returned home to their parent or <br />guardian. Officer Boscardin along with other MVPD Officers, and neighboring agency’s <br />took part in a TZD event hosted by MVPD to focus on school bus stop arm violations, <br />distracted driving, and pedestrian crosswalk violations. Officer Boscardin also <br />completed multiple investigations in regard to cyberbullying. Officer Boscardin also <br />completed investigations of suspicious activity and an investigation for a weapons <br />complaint. <br />This was Officer Boscardin’s last year serving as School Resource Officer and he looks <br />forward to continuing to build rapport with students and community members as he <br />returns to patrol. <br />
