Stalking <br /> <br />On 5-27-2025, Officers were called to the Mounds View Library for a male and female <br />shouting. Officers arrived and found the suspect and victim in a verbal altercation. The <br />suspect has been known to follow the victim numerous times after the victim has <br />repeatedly told him to leave her alone. At the time, the male was arrested. <br /> <br />Inv. Erickson then reviewed prior history with the suspect and found several incidents <br />between them including: <br />• previous calls to police that the male was stalking the female and secretly taking <br />her photograph at all hours of the night without her knowledge. <br />• Female reported he wouldn't leave her alone at the MV Library and told her "no, <br />I'm not letting you out". <br />• She left the Police Department a note stating he was verbally harassing her. <br />• A physical fight between the victim and suspect occurred near the Food shelf in <br />Mounds View (2574 Mounds View Blvd). She reported that he approached her, <br />she pushed him away, then he started pinning her up against the building, sitting <br />on her, and putting his fingers in her mouth. <br /> <br />Inv. Erickson then drafted a search warrant to review the contents of the suspect’s <br />phone. Over 43 photos and videos of the victim were on his phone and 243 notes <br />written in a journal about the victim. <br /> <br />The case was submitted to the Attorney and he was charged with GM Harassment, 5th <br />Degree Assault, and Disorderly Conduct. <br /> <br />Theft by Swindle <br /> <br />Mounds View Officers were called to the 2800 block of Mounds View Blvd for a Fraud <br />Report. The suspect came into the store and made several purchases totaling $1,126. <br />Inv. Erickson utilized surveillance footage to determine a suspect vehicle and trace the <br />identity of the suspect through persons with relation to the suspect. Inv. Erickson <br />determined the suspect had numerous previous felony Theft by Swindle convictions <br />and his identity matched the suspect on surveillance footage. Inv. Erickson determined <br />an address for the suspect in Minneapolis. Inv. Erickson spoke with the suspect who <br />denied it being him, despite the surveillance footage matching his identity. <br /> <br />The case was submitted to the County Attorney to be reviewed for charges. <br /> <br />Mail Theft <br /> <br />Mounds View Officers received a report of theft of mail from a mailbox. At the time, <br />there was no suspect information. Several days later St Paul PD stopped a vehicle and <br />located numerous pieces of mail some from Mounds View. The case was turned over <br />to Investigator Erickson. The suspect and his girlfriend was interviewed and stated that <br />they were in Mounds View at the time and admitted to stealing numerous pieces of <br />mail. The case has been submitted to the county attorney and is pending charges of <br />mail theft. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
