RESOLUTION NO 10153 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE HIRE OF MOLLY OLSON TO THE POSITION OF <br />COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER (CSO) <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has approved recruitment for the position of Community Service <br />Officer (CSO) in the Police Department; and, <br />WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of training and experience scoring, interview, <br />background investigation, and pre -employment drug screen; and, <br />WHEREAS, the top candidate in the interview process was Molly Olson; and, <br />WHEREAS, staff and the HR Committee support the hire of Molly Olson to the position of <br />Community Service Officer; and, <br />WHEREAS, staff requests to begin employment of Molly Olson at Grade 4, Step 1 of the 2025 pay <br />plan effective on or around September 22, 2025; and <br />2025 - Grade 4 <br />4% <br />3.75% <br />3.75% <br />3.75% <br />3.5% <br />3.25% <br />3% <br />2.75% <br />Step 1 <br />Ste 2 <br />Step 3 <br />Step 4 <br />Step 5 <br />Step 6 <br />Step 7 <br />Step 8 <br />Ste 9 <br />$26.70 <br />$27.77 <br />$28.81 <br />$29.89 <br />$31.01 <br />$32.09 <br />$33.14 <br />$34.13 <br />$35.07 <br />and; <br />WHEREAS, the Community Service Officer position will work 20 — 29 hours per week, and accrue <br />vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay. No insurance benefits are available for this position. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, <br />Minnesota does hereby: <br />• Appoint Molly Olson to the position of Community Service Officer <br />• Starting date on or around September 22, 2025 <br />• Beginning wage Grade 4, Step 1 of the 2025 pay plan <br />• Employee subject to a 6-month probationary period, and eligible for Step 2 upon successful <br />completion of 6-months employment; and eligible for Step 3 upon one-year anniversary <br />date and annual Step increases on anniversary date <br />• Should the CSO complete their academic coursework, their employment with the City as <br />a CSO will end no later than 12 months after completing their education.
