State unemployment for August was 3.6%, which compares to national unemployment of 4.3%. <br /> Nationally, inflation has risen from 2.5% in 2024 to 2.9% in 2025 through August of each year. The high <br /> was back in 2022 at 9.1%. <br /> Finance Department Operations: <br /> The annual financial audit and the 5 Year Financial Plan have been completed. Work on the 2026 <br /> Municipal budget is in process.
