i <br /> 2025 3rd Quarter Report—Neighborhood Resource Officer <br /> The NRO responded to 144 calls for service in the third quarter and participated in 13 <br /> community outreach events. Calls for service include primarily responding to calls while <br /> assigned to fulltime dayshift patrol due to various vacancies within the department. Calls <br /> for service also include investigations received from child and adult protection reporting <br /> maltreatment of children and vulnerable adults. Additionally calls for service included <br /> monitoring the cities registered predatory offenders and assisting with updating <br /> documentation as necessary. <br /> This quarter, the Mounds View Police Department continued efforts established with the <br /> Crime Free Multi Housing Apartment Landlord Coalition. The NRO meets with <br /> Landlords individually as requested to review possible violations and concerns. The <br /> NRO also works with the City of Mounds View's code enforcement division to partner on <br /> any ongoing and necessary property management issues. No strike letters were issued <br /> in quarter three through the Crime Free Multi Housing Coalition. <br /> The NRO has continued to work with Northeast Youth and Family Services to provide <br /> Aid for youths, adults, and families in need of additional support. This includes those <br /> requesting information and services for mental health counseling, financial assistance <br /> programs, housing information and community support services. In the third quarter, two <br /> new referrals were submitted for services. Several previous referrals are still open as <br /> well and receiving support through NYFS. <br /> Collaboration on community outreach continues through partnership with the Mounds <br /> View Police Foundation. Throughout July, Officers hosted Popsicles in the Park every <br /> Thursday at the City Hall Park splash pad. Officers also attended several events hosted <br /> by property managers and churches in the area. The month of August was busy with <br /> Night to Unite on Tuesday the 5t"! Officers attended 28 parties throughout the day <br /> hosted by block party captains in the city. On Night to Unite, officers were joined by <br /> SBM Fire, and Mounds View City Council members to meet with residents and <br /> strengthen the connections between all departments and residents. The MVPD also <br /> partnered with Ralph Reeder to host a food drive. In total, over 600 pounds of food and <br /> supplies were collected and donated. Officers also attended and assisted with this <br /> year's Festival in the Park that is held annually every August. In September, officers <br /> participated in several outreach events such as the Mounds View Community Center <br /> Resource Fair and SBM Open House. Officers also played against SBM Firefighters in <br /> the annual softball game and took home the trophy bat once again! <br /> The NRO works in combination with others to manage the MVPD social media pages <br /> while ensuring information is posted quickly and accurately across multiple platforms. <br /> The MVPD is active on Nextdoor, X (formally Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook. <br />
