Item No: 8F MOUNDS VIEW Type Date: November s of Business: Council Business ss City Administrator Review: City or Mounds View Staff Report To: Honorable Mayor and City Council From: Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator Item Title/Subject: Resolution 10164, Approving Revision to the Mounds View Solid Waste Management Standards Introduction: City Council approved Ordinance 1048 amending Chapter 50 of the Mounds View City Code regarding Licensing to Haul Waste on September 22, 2025. Revisions to the Solid Waste Management Standards are needed to coincide with the changes to the Code. Discussion: In December 2024, the City Council adopted Ordinance 10024 related to price transparency for licensed garbage haulers in the City of mounds View. This addition to the licensing requirement provides clarity and transparency to the consumer when making their choice of which hauler to use for trash and recycling services. The Management Standards were also revised at that time. On September 22, 2025, the City Council adopted Ordinance 1048 making further revisions to Chapter 50, therefore, again revisions to the standards are needed to coincide with the Mounds View City Code. The only substantive change is the removal of the sentence beginning with "Any submission..." which is in line with the Ordinance 1048. Attached are both a clean and redline copy of the standards.
