There are two things I would like to speak with you about, the first being a
new issue and the second a continuation of our existing contact. I'll explain
both here below.
1. The corner of your yard on Irondale and Woodcrest has become rather
overgrown. Recently it has got to the point where the intersection sight line is
blocked and it is very difficult for certain vehicles to safely see the
Northbound and Southbound lanes of Irondale Dr while traveling Westbound
on Woodcrest Dr at the stop sign. I am asking for your cooperation and
community spirit to trim back the vegetation growth on the corner to
eliminate this condition.
2. In your email from May 201h regarding the notice of violation you received
this spring you explained that you would be continuing to work on clearing
items from the front yard, side yard and driveway. To date I have not
observed any significant progress. Please understand that the next step
moving forward is that I will be bringing this matter to the City council to seek
authorization for an abatement. If that is approved what that mean is the City
would hire a company to come to your property and remove items outside
that are in violation of previously identified requirements. This isn't the first
time you have been notified about code requirements for outside storage,
and while I can understand and appreciate the obstacles you have overcome
thus far (7 noted in your email below)the fact remains that this has been
ongoing for many years with little progress completed after repeated
notifications and contacts. Lastly, while outside in the area on more than
one occasion people driving by or walking have stopped to ask if something
was going to be done regarding the outside storage at your property. If fact,
many of them have expressed their displeasure with the accumulation of
items in your yard that continue to be in violation of City ordinance. You have
been given plenty of grace and the time has come to finally get this resolved
and I really need your help Greg.
Thanks and I look forward to your reply.
Jeremiah Anderson
Housing/Code Enforcement Inspector
763.717.4023 w 1763.717.4019 f
2401 Mounds View Boulevard
4
