Item No. 6B <br />MEMORANDUM <br />To: Parks & Recreation & Forestry Commissioners <br />From: Pete Szurek — Public Works Superintendent <br />Date: November 20th, 2025 <br />RE: Public Works Staff Report <br />The following is a synopsis of recent activities and events of the Public Works Department. <br />(2.5 fulltime Park Workers) worked on the following items since <br />November 1st, 2025. <br />Parks Maintenance <br />• Leaf mulching and leaf removal at all parks, litter pick up before mowing <br />• Tribute Park, finish grading and dormant seeding will occur if the weather holds out. Final flag <br />spotlight installations, spotlight aiming and control programming occurred this week. <br />• Dog off leash areas at Lambert Park and Hillview Park will be closed in December <br />Forestry <br />Staff worked on the following items last month: <br />• Several resident phone consults and site visits <br />• Contractor meets and calls <br />• Planter boxes fall cleanouts (vegetation removals) <br />• Tree sale planning and paperwork <br />Oakwood Park drainage easement summer storm damage tree cleanup <br />The following is the List of Parks and projects / maintenance activities ongoing or planned this year. <br />Current updates are in black text, and updates from the previous two -month period are in grey. <br />Ardan Park <br />• (Winberg Companies) completed forb dormant seed planting <br />• Three new Balsom Fir trees planted <br />City Hall Campus <br />• Splash pad winterizing <br />• Shade canopy removals <br />• Santa house construction <br />• Winter lights hanging <br />Groveland Park: <br />• Leaf Mulching and trash and litter checks <br />1IPage <br />
