XXX <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MOUNDS VIEW CITY CODE, TITLE VII: TRAFFIC <br />CODE, CHAPTER 72, CONCERNING OPERATION OF MOTORIZED GOLF CARTS <br /> <br />THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW ORDAINS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title VII: Traffic <br />Code, Chapter 72, of the Mounds View Municipal Code by adding Sections 72.010- <br />72.022 as follows: <br /> <br />OPERATION AND REGULATION OF MOTORIZED GOLF CARTS <br /> <br />72.010 OPERATION. <br /> <br />Persons who are physically handicapped, as defined in M.S. § 169.345, subd. 2, as <br />amended, are authorized to operate motorized golf carts on residential streets within the <br />City, excluding prohibited areas as designated in section 72.016. <br /> <br />72.011 PERMIT REQUIRED. <br /> <br />No person shall operate a motorized golf cart on a residential street without obtaining a <br />permit provided herein. <br /> <br />72.012 APPLICATION. <br /> <br />Every application for a permit shall be made on a form supplied by the city and shall <br />contain the following information: <br /> <br />(A) The name and address of the applicant. <br /> <br />(B) The nature of the applicant's physical handicap. <br /> <br />(C) The roadways, or portions thereof, on which the motorized golf cart will be <br />operated. <br /> <br />(D) The time of operation of the motorized golf cart. <br /> <br />(E) Such other information as the city may require. <br />
