Mounds View Special City Council May 5, 2025 <br />Regular Meeting Page 8 <br />Council Member Clark stated the community -wide garage sale would be held on June 5 through <br />June 8. <br />Council Member Smith commented on Friday, April 18 the Ramsey County Search and Rescue <br />Water Patrol Team trained SWAT on water rescues. <br />Council Member Smith explained two weeks ago she helped the Roseville Police Department on <br />a drug take back event. She stated 211 pounds of medications were collected at this event. <br />Council Member Smith reported the Ramsey County League of Local Government would be <br />meeting next on Friday, May 9 where ending homelessness and housing would be discussed. <br />Mayor Lindstrom stated he started a non-profit a year ago that he ended up turning over to another <br />individual to navigate the clemency system. <br />Mayor Lindstrom indicated he spoke at the Edina Rotary Club last week regarding his story. In <br />addition, he had the opportunity to go to Stillwater and speak at one of the prison graduations. <br />Mayor Lindstrom thanked the Festival in the Park Committee and all of the volunteers that made <br />the egg hunt possible. <br />Mayor Lindstrom wished all of the mothers in the community a Happy Mother's Day. <br />Mayor Lindstrom reported he would be attending the Regional Council of Mayors and Nine Cities <br />meetings on Monday, May 12. <br />B. Reports of Staff. <br />Finance Director Bauman reported she would be receiving the final audit report tomorrow and the <br />audit information would be presented to the Council on Monday, May 12. <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson explained the City had 50 trees still available <br />from the tree sale. <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson commented he was confident the City was <br />close to securing a new lease with AT&T for the water tower. <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson asked if the City Council would allow Sysco <br />to have a deduct meter on their chillers. <br />Council Member Gunn questioned what the impact would be on the City. Finance Director <br />Bauman reported the City would see lost revenue if the deduct meters were allowed. <br />Mayor Lindstrom recommended Sysco be required to purchase meters from the City. Public <br />Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson indicated this would be his recommendation. <br />
