MOUNDS VIEW <br /> JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> Job Title: Rec on the Go Coordinator <br /> Grade: Seasonal <br /> Supervisor Title: Recreation Supervisor <br /> Department: Parks and Recreation <br /> FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Seasonal <br /> Date Reviewed: 2/9/2026 <br /> Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience: <br /> ➢ Be at least 18 years of age. <br /> ➢ High School Diploma or GED <br /> ➢ One (1)year of experience working with people with disabilities, especially children, as a staff or volunteer. <br /> ➢ Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience working in Parks and Recreation, summer camps, <br /> physical education, education, or community education. <br /> ➢ Has the desire to work with the public. <br /> ➢ Be available to work a part-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. <br /> Nature of Work: <br /> This position is responsible for leading the mobile recreation program, Rec on the Go.The incumbent assists the <br /> Recreation Supervisor and partner city Supervisors with planning, leading, evaluating, and overseeing the day- <br /> to-day operations of this program.This role also provides work direction to summer program staff and supports <br /> the Recreation Supervisor with assisting in coordinating additional recreation programs, Explore More Summer <br /> Camp, and community events as needed. <br /> Communicates with: <br /> Internally—Parks and Recreation staff. <br /> Externally—General public. <br /> Supervision: <br /> None <br /> Essential Work Functions: <br /> • Assists the Recreation Supervisor with the planning, supervision, implementation, and activity facilitation of the <br /> mobile recreation program, Rec on the Go. <br /> • Works cooperatively with partner cities to ensure high-quality programming and excellent customer service. <br /> • Assists the Recreation Supervisor and Assistant Camp Coordinators with the planning, supervision, and <br /> implementation of the Explore More Summer Camp program, including activities and curriculum. <br /> • Assists with program promotion, including calendars, newsletters, and other communication with parents/guardians <br /> and the community. <br /> • Provides work direction and support to program staff and Leaders in Training. <br /> • Assists the Recreation Supervisor with staff supervision and training. <br /> • Assists with scheduling and assigning staff. <br /> • Maintains inventory, orders, and distributes equipment, supplies and materials. <br /> • Maintains accurate records and statistics. <br /> • Coordinates summer staff meetings as required. <br /> • Distributes timesheets and other pertinent correspondence to summer staff as needed. <br /> • Continuously evaluates the program and recommends needed changes to the Recreation Supervisor. <br /> • Ensures that the program site is kept clean and organized. <br />
