Roofing for Roof Replacement at the Groveland Park Building Background/Discussion: The Public Works Department has many responsibilities, and one is to monitor, schedule and follow Roof Management Program reconditions developed by Inspec Engineering. In 2023 the City Council approved having Inspec perform inspections on all City building roofs to include repair and replacement recommendations for the Roof Management Program. Groveland Park building roof was identified as needing replacement in 2026. Staff working with Garland Company LLC, reviewed the report and requested that they secure roof repair estimates. Garland is the general contractor and provides the warranty for this project. The scope of the repair work will include the following: • Remove and discard all the existing roofing • Install new drip edge metal • Remove existing soffit panels and install new • Install new underlayment R-Mer Seal • Install new pipe boots and vent covers as needed • Install Timberline HDZ Shingles by GAF • Insure a watertight seal • Clean up and haul away debris. Clean up as needed Garland Company received three estimates for the repair work: 1. Peterson Bros. Roofing $28,250.00 2. Berwald Roofing Company, Inc. $34,625.00 3. BL Dalsin Generation of Roofing $72,663.00 Strategic Plan Strategy/Goal: Maintain and Plan for Infrastructure Improvements. Ensure a Safe Maintained Park Building.
