<br /> <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 10216 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) REPLACEMENT DUMP TRUCK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has had the practice of replacing dump trucks on a fifteen- <br />year cycle. This 15 year trade-in period allows the fleet to be economically maintained <br />without having major repair bills which are not typically recovered in the trade-in value, <br />and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approves and places in the operating budget the <br />cost for replacing vehicles, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has received a quote for a 2027 Mack GR42BR Single Axle <br />unit, with a with a Cummins ISL-D 345hp diesel engine, Allison 3000-RDS 6 speed <br />transmission in the amount of $143,112.22 not including license and transfer fees, <br />under the State Contract from Nuss Truck & Equipment of Roseville Minnesota, and: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has received a quote from Tow Master Truck Equipment to <br />outfit the truck to include a dump body, front plow, wing plow, snowplowing light <br />package, underbody scraper and controls for $188,772.00; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has received a quote from Lubecore to install a Auto <br />Grease System, for $10,350.00; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff is recommending installing a new City Radio and decals for <br />this unit for an estimated cost of $1,500.00; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommend the Council approve the pre-ordering of this unit, <br />to receive the dump truck in the first quarter of 2027; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS funding is available in the 2026-2030 5 Year Financial Plans Vehicle <br />and Equipment Fund, 460-4470-7040, has funds budgeted for this dump truck <br />purchase. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
