To Approve the January 26, 2026 City Council minute 5 <br />as amended. 6 <br /> 7 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 8 <br /> 9 <br />6. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS 10 <br />A. Resolution 10180, Appreciation and Award Presentation to Cindy Palm for 11 <br />her service on the Mounds View Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Mayor Lindstrom read a Resolution of Appreciation in full for the record and thanked Cindy Palm 14 <br />for her dedicated service to the City of Mounds View on the Parks, Recreation and Forestry 15 <br />Commission. A round of applause was offered by all in attendance. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Cindy Palm thanked the City Council for this recognition, noting she has enjoyed her service on 18 <br />the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission. 19 <br /> 20 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Adopt Resolution 10180, Appreciation and Award 21 <br />Presentation to Cindy Palm for her service on the Mounds View Parks, Recreation and Forestry 22 <br />Commission. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Council Member Smith thanked Ms. Palm for her dedicated service to the City. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked Ms. Palm for being willing to take on extra duties on 27 <br />subcommittees and task forces when the need arose. He stated he appreciated the fact Ms. Palm 28 <br />took minutes for the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission as well. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Council Member Clark thanked Ms. Palm for her inspiring service to the City of Mounds View. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Council Member Gunn thanked Ms. Palm for being the rock of the Parks, Recreation and Forestry 33 <br />Commission. She encouraged Ms. Palm to stay connected to the City. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Mayor Lindstrom asked what got Ms. Palm connected with the City. Ms. Palm reported she was 36 <br />interested in seeing improvements at Greenfield Park. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Mayor Lindstrom encouraged any resident with an idea for the City to come forward and consider 39 <br />serving on a City Commission. He asked if there were members of the public that would like to 40 <br />speak at this time. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Gerald Arel noted he joined the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission in 2007. He explained 43 <br />he greatly appreciated serving with Cindy Palm and wished her all the best in the future. 44 <br /> 45 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 46
