Mounds View PD Reserve Unit 2025 Annual Report
Reserve Officers volunteered a total of forty-two and a half hours (42.5) in the fourth
quarter of 2025, and one hundred and fifteen hours (115) total throughout the year.
Reserve Officer Traczyk deployed another overwhelmingly successful coat drive for the
Mounds View Police Department! Once again, with Reserve Officer Traczyk being the
driving force behind the coat drive, the Mounds View Police Department outmatched
several other metro police departments on our way to securing the most donated coats
for those in need. Along with the coat drive, Reserve Officer Traczyk participated in the
SBM Santa Parade, which was a huge success. The Reserve Unit embarked on new
endeavors, streamlining our application process through an online portal. This resulted
in roughly nine applications, which led to several interviews. Sgt. Hanson conducted
interviews and found a great fit for our department.

We are excited to welcome Brock Lueck as Mounds View PD’s newest Reserve Officer.
Brock is currently in school at Century College studying Law Enforcement. Brock
resides in neighboring Spring Lake Park and has grown up in this area his whole life.
Brock has a family history of serving the community, where his father served as a
firefighter with the SBM Fire Department. Brock is in the beginning stages of training,
with the hope of completing field training before the spring. Overall, 2025 was a
successful year for the Reserve Unit and Sgt. Hanson looks forward to expanding and
strengthening the number of officers next year. Sgt. Hanson has several more Reserve
Officer interviews at the beginning of 2026.

Reserve Officer Don Traczyk and Former MN Twin Justin Morneau
