COUNCIL BUSINESS 5 <br />A. Second Reading and Approval of Ordinance 1050, Amending the City of 6 <br />Mounds View Charter by Revising Language Related to Vacancies in Elected 7 <br />Office ROLL CALL VOTE. 8 <br /> 9 <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council adopt an Ordinance that would amend the City 10 <br />Charter by revising language related to vacancies in elected office. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Mayor Lindstrom opened the public hearing at 7:07 p.m. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Council Member Meehlhause provided an overview of why the Council pursued this charter 15 <br />amendment noting this would ensure the City Council would not have long term vacancies with a 16 <br />four-person Council. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Joyce Jones-Strait, 7728 Knollwood Drive, thanked the Charter Commission for their efforts on 19 <br />this matter. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Brian Amundsen, 3048 Woodale Drive, thanked the City Council for working collaboratively with 22 <br />the Charter Commission on this issue. He noted the Charter Commission has an opening at this 23 <br />time and noted applications were being taken at this time for the vacant position. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Hearing no further public input, Mayor Lindstrom closed the public hearing at 7:13 p.m. 26 <br /> 27 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Waive the Second Reading and Adopt Ordinance 28 <br />1050, Amending the City of Mounds View Charter by Revising Language Related to Vacancies 29 <br />in Elected Office and direct staff to publish an ordinance summary. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked the Charter Commission for their work on this matter. 32 <br /> 33 <br />ROLL CALL: Clark/Gunn/Meehlhause/Smith/Lindstrom. 34 <br /> 35 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 36 <br /> 37 <br />B. Amendment to the Comprehensive Plan (future Land Use Map), Zoning Map 38 <br />Amendment, and Subdivision Request located at 7687 Long Lake Road 39 <br />1. Resolution 10214, Approving the Comprehensive Plan Amendment to 40 <br />Amend the Future Land Use Map Designation of 7687 Long Lake Road 41 <br />2. Resolution 10215, Approving of a Preliminary Plat for a Subdivision of 42 <br />7687 Long Lake Road 43 <br />3. First Reading of Ordinance 1055, Rezoning the Property at 7687 Long 44 <br />Lake Road from R-1 (Single Family Residential) to ‘PUD’ (Planned 45 <br />Unit Development). 46
