The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO 10222 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING A RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR THE POLICE INTERN POSITION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Staff is requesting the City Council authorize approval of the Police <br />Intern Position, allowing Interns to work at the City for up to 16 weeks; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Interns would be compensated at a rate of $19.28 per hour, working <br />a flexible schedule between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the possibility of <br />some evening and weekend hours, and amenable to the student’s college course <br />schedule; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff will fill the Police Intern position as funding is available. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />authorizes Staff to complete the following: <br /> <br />• Continue the Police Intern program for 2026 <br />• Post the position and hire qualified Police Interns as funding is available <br />• Allow Interns to work 16 consecutive weeks <br />• Pay Interns $19.28/hour during their Internship <br /> <br />Adopted this 23rd day of March, 2026. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Zach Lindstrom, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br />
