RESOLUTION 10234 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE A 2026 JOHN DEERE 4075R TRACTOR <br />WHEREAS, as part of the Public Works Departments maintenance program, utility vehicles <br />are purchased for the departments to perform maintenance required throughout the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council understands the need for Public Works to properly perform <br />various tasks such as Parks mowing, fertilizing, herbicide applications, snow removal, and trail <br />maintenance; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff have been utilizing Unit #307, a 2005 Aebi TT75 for Parks Maintenance; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from Midwest Machinery of Columbus, MN for (1) 2026 <br />John Deere 4075R with options at the cost of $82756.57; and <br />WHEREAS, the purchase is included in the 2026 budget, Vehicle and Equipment Parks Fund <br />account 460-4360-7030. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The Council hereby approves the purchase of (1) 2026 John Deere 4075R TRACTOR in <br />the amount of $82756.57 from Midwest Machinery to include license and delivery costs. <br />2. The tractor purchase is included in the 2026 adopted budget, vehicle and equipment fund, <br />460-4360-7030. <br />3. The City Council authorizes staff to place unit #307 on auction. <br />4. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br />appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. <br />5.
