RESOLUTION NO.10238 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL FROM CORRECTIVE ASPHALT MATERIALS FOR <br />THE 2026 SEAL COATING PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City has a pavement management program that includes City streets, trails, <br />and parking lots; and <br />WHEREAS, the 2022-2023 Street project Areas J & K, 2023 Street Project Pleasant View <br />Drive / Stinson Road (as outlined on project map), are due for routine maintenance to include seal <br />coating for 2026; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff prepared plans, specifications, and bid documents using estimated <br />quantities for the 2626 Seal Coat Project; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends accepting the bids received from Corrective Asphalt Materials <br />of South Roxana, Illinois, for $44,726.22 along with a 5% contingency of $2,236.32 for quantity over- <br />runs or additional work resulting from unknowns discovered during the project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The bid proposal for $44,726.22 submitted by Corrective Asphalt Materials of South Roxana <br />Illinois, for the 2026 Seal Coat Project (City Project No. 2024-0O3) is hereby approved. <br />2. The City Council approves a 5% contingency of $2,236.32 for quantity over -runs or additional <br />work resulting from unknowns discovered during the project. <br />3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate <br />documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this Resolution. <br />4. The Director of Public Works is authorized to make approvals related to quantity over -runs or <br />additional work resulting from unknown conditions discovered during seal coating project up to a <br />combined total of $2,236.32 (5% contingency) on behalf of the City Council. <br />5.
