RESOLUTION 10243 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AUTHORIZATION FOR RESTORATION REGARDING THE 2024 LOIS DRIVE STORM <br /> SEWER REPAIR <br /> WHEREAS, Staff inspected the storm sewer drainage pipe that flows under Lois Drive and <br /> observed the metal corrugated pipe has severely rusted, and sediment was entering the pipe causing <br /> voids under the road; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 28, 2024, City Council approved Resolution 9926, authorizing repairs to <br /> the storm sewer system located on Lois Drive; and <br /> WHEREAS, the repair work was completed in 2025 except for the restoration for the project; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, Staff obtained 2 quotes: <br /> • Dave Perkins Contracting Inc. $18,183.00 <br /> • Olsons Excavating and Sewer Service $18,040.60; and <br /> WHEREAS, Staff is also recommending a 7% contingency of $1,262.85 for any unforeseen <br /> issues that may arise during the restoration project; and <br /> WHEREAS, the funding for these repairs is budgeted in the 2026 Storm Sewer Fund, 745- <br /> 4415-7050, which includes $25,000.00 for Storm Sewer Projects. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br /> Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The City hereby approves the quote from Olsons Excavating and Sewer Service for <br /> 18,040.60, for the restoration for the repairs completed on the storm sewer at Lois Drive. <br /> 2. A contingency of$1,262.85. <br /> 3. Funding will be payable from the Storm Sewer Account, 745-4415-5150. <br /> 4. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br /> appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. <br /> 5.
