Total General Fund expenditures for 2025 were $29,069 (0.3 percent) more than the previous year. The
increase was largely found in public safety, which was up by $227,159, as anticipated in the budget with
success filling some more of the open positions compared to last year. Spending was down for forestry
costs in culture and recreation and for capital outlay based on the timing of needs, which offset a portion of
the overall increase in the General Fund.
