PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom encouraged the public to speak with kindness and respect when addressing the <br />City Council during Public Comment. <br /> <br />Vince Meyer, 8380 Spring Lake Road, discussed the Spring Lake Road street project. He requested <br />the City visit his property because his driveway wing was damaged during installation. <br /> <br />Murwo Mohamed, 2651 Silver Lake Common, Apartment #203, explained for years she had been <br />advocating for additional metro public seats. She noted 804 and 25 were running nicely through <br />the community. <br /> <br />Sharon Kirscher, 8406 Red Oak Drive, asked where the packet was posted prior to City Council <br />meetings. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom reported residents can Google “Mounds View City Council Meeting” and the <br />first thing that will come up will be Mounds View City Council Meeting. He encouraged residents <br />to click on this link and all agendas and meetings for the City Council are listed on this page of the <br />City’s website. He indicated this was the same search he did each week to pull up the agenda and <br />meeting packet. <br /> <br />8. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />A. PUBLIC HEARING: Consideration of Resolution 10226, Approval of a <br />Chicken-keeping License for Christian Johnson, 5200 Edgewood Drive. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the Council consider a chicken keeping license <br />for Christian Johnson at 5200 Edgewood Drive. He reported the applicant is proposing to keep <br />eight (8) chickens and has provided staff with all the necessary paperwork. It was noted staff <br />received one opposition to this request. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom opened the public hearing at 6:09 p.m. <br /> <br />Christian Johnson, 5200 Edgewood Drive, explained he would like to start with eight chickens. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom stated his experience has been that sometimes the City receives feedback <br />regarding concerns, but in the end the chickens were a hit in the neighborhoods. <br /> <br />Ala Johnson, 5200 Edgewood Drive, indicated she has wanted chickens on her property for several <br />years, but the biggest obstacle has been where to place the chicken coop due to the nature of her <br />lot.
